Great guide to get started

On the weekend I managed to catch John Chow on the G4TechTV show ‘The Lab with Leo Laporte” and he gave some great advice on how to make money blogging. If you check his site he’s offering a free .PDF file on how to get started, you should check it out if this is what you want to do. One thing that stuck in my mind is how John’s English doesn’t seem to be all that great, and despite this, he’s managed to build and entire career blogging. Anyways, subscribe to his newsletter and get the ebook and start making money.

Presidential debate: winner?

The debate quickly turned into a mud slinging fest once McCain threw the first cheap shot. Obama, never one to back down, was forced to respond. Tom Brokaw lost control of the debate format fairly quickly. McCain gave fluffy answers such as “America is the greatest” and “hope” but I felt failed to answer the questions. He’s running on his record as a war veteran and a long time serving senator.

Obama, when not replying to the McCain accusations, answered effectively and won the debate in my eyes. He gave solid answers, at least answers with more substance than McCain. On the issue of health care he answered that “health care is a right” while McCain answered it as a “responsibility”. I’m sure he meant the same thing, however he chose the wrong word.

McCain’s body language was stiff. He held his arm a fixed right angle keeping the microphone in the right spot while Obama seemed a bit more animated. One thing’s for certain McCain got under Obama’s skin. Obama won this debate, slightly.
